We Found "The One"

Ever since Kyle and I met, we've dreamed of traveling the world together, living out of a backpack, and continuously exploring. In our first year of marriage we lived in three different states (North Carolina, Arkansas, and Minnesota) and consider ourselves quite nomadic. So when searching for a place to live, it clearly needed to be on wheels.

We had a pretty particular checklist for the ideal home...well, I was pretty particular. Kyle could live in a van for the rest of his life. I wanted a bathroom & shower of some sort, plenty of room for storage, and a living area that was comfortable (and looked awesome). To be honest, it was tough to find one that I thought, "Okay, I could see myself living in this." Then, on January 11th, Kyle texted me a link to this incredible bus. We were floored. One minute later, I receive another text in all caps: "IT'S FOR SALE!!!!" He immediately contacted the owners, Will & Alyssa, and our dream began. For the first time, we saw something that checked every box and then some

Of course, we had to step back and think...are we crazy? Should we be doing this? But it all came back to this: Life is what you make it. Routine, comfort, and safety can be nice, but it can also be a crutch. We want to live a life that is full of adventures and eye-opening travels. We want to experience simplicity that helps us realize what truly matters in life. God created this Earth to be marveled at and explored- and we intend to do just that. Buying this bus is step one towards living the life we've dreamed about.

So, this weekend we fly to Bozeman to pick up the bus from Will and Alyssa (the incredible people that converted an empty school bus into the beauty it is today). Wish us luck driving it back to Minneapolis!
